Zusammenfassung: | Most network simulators are stand-alone, monolithic applications that are unsuitable for modeling distributed systems. VNET is a distributed system environment that enables simulation of wired and wireless networks by using Ethernet LAN connections to model wireless and other peer-to-peer network topologies. VNET is a scalable system that is OS-independent. It is developed in Java and operates as a background agent process with a small footprint. Because the system is fully distributed, there is no central process to manage the VNET agents. |
