Zusammenfassung:The application of granule technology as a method of production of structural materials with improved strength, plasticity and processing characteristics is highly efficient, especially in the case of magnesium alloys, because it makes it possible to increase their specific strength characteristics to the level of deformable aluminium-based alloys ( sigma sub B / gamma approx =17-19 km). This makes the granulated magnesium alloys capable of competition with the Al-based alloys in areas of technology where the "weight economy" plays the key role: aviation, missile construction, transport, production of support goods, etc. To obtain objective estimates of the weldability of MA2-1 gr. granulated alloy, comparison was made with the basic characteristics of welded joints in MA2-1 alloy produced by standard technology. Material also includes MA14 alloy.
