Zusammenfassung: | This paper describes how to typeset Chinese, Japanese, and Korean (CJK) languages with Omega, a 16-bit extension of Donald Knuth’s TeX. In principle, Omega has no difficulty in typesetting those East Asian languages because of its internal representation using 16-bit Unicode. However, it has not been widely used in practice because of the difficulties in adapting it to CJK typesetting rules and fonts, which we will discuss in the paper. |
