Zusammenfassung: | The UK National Grid has embarked on the installation of Intranet servers into their substations; these servers are connected to the National Grid internal network and allow engineers to log into the substation information system. The servers regularly poll the protection and control IEDs to collect and store data such as switchgear positions, transformer tap positions, voltage, current, MW and MVArs. Access to the server also allows engineers to examine the substation event log and download fault records from the fault recorders that are installed on all National Grid feeder circuits. This paper discusses the experience that National Grid has gained from these installations. It highlights the benefits that have been identified by the use of Internet technologies and the issues involved in a system wide implementation. The paper concludes with a brief discussion of future enhancements that will be made. |
