Zusammenfassung: | We report on a patient with Takayasu's disease who suffered from severe headache and vomiting due to hyperperfusion syndrome after aorto-carotid-vertebral-bypass surgery. There was no significant systemic blood pressure elevation, focal neurological signs, seizures or CT scan changes. The headache was successfully treated by mannitol and furosemide. We conclude that osmotic diuresis may be an effective treatment in early stages of the hyperperfusion headache. |
