Transformation, diversity and organisational change within institutions of higher education

In June 1999, South Africa's second democratic elections were held,and the ANC Government was returned to power with an overwhelmingmajority. Now, as the country at last starts moving towardsestablishing a non-racial society based on a constitution that embodiesequal rights for every person, the need to establish an equitableand effective education system has become a top priority. Thisrequires a transformation process that will necessitate the managementof diversity, and organisational changes within our institutionsof higher education.
