Zusammenfassung:The threads of shared attributes between Anlo-Ewe and Arará ritual traditions encountered during fieldwork continue to be illuminated in Chapter 11. Located in the fieldsite of Adjodogou, Togo, this chapter narrates the founding of the community including the arrival of the deity Sakpata, and the secretive vodu practices of Yewe, before detailing fieldwork events that contributed to knowledge production. Deeper windows into West African Ewe religious form are revealed and lead the reader back to the dialogues between the Cuban and West African fieldsites. The chapter ends with a discussion of the bridge-building between Cuba and West Africa, and the multiple layers of knowledge production.
