Zusammenfassung:Abstract A novel nucleic acid model using α-peptide ribonucleic acid (α-PRNA) possessing alternative α- PRNA/arginine sequences, where the arginine residue would be expected to stabilize the complex not only by the conventional hydrogen-bonding interactions between the complementary nucleobase pairs but also through the electrostatic interactions between positively charged side-chain groups and RNA's phosphate anions on the backbone. These α-PRNA form stable sequencespecific complex with the complementary RNA.
