Zusammenfassung:Mixing rules for water/chlorocarbon/anionic surfactant systems have been studied. It was found that the behavior of chlorocarbons parallels the ideal mixing rules for hydrocarbons. The polarity of some chlorocarbons prevented a direct determination of electrolyte concentration and solubilization parameter for optimum formulations. These values were obtained by extrapolation and have been tabulated. Various complex mixtures containing chlorocarbons and hydrocarbons were prepared and their experimental optimum salinities were compared to calculated values.
