Zusammenfassung: | The experimental results of Mackenbrock and Grabke (Steel Res. , 62, 371, 1991) on the grain boundary segregation kinetics in a 12%CrMoV-steel doped with 0.057 wt.% P are interpreted using the demixing model of Militzer and Wieting (Acta Metall. , 37, 2585, 1989). The demixing model gives a straightforward interpretation of the embrittling kinetics due to phosphorus segregation. It is suggested that the demixing model should be favoured over the modification of the conventional segregation model which introduces an accelerated bulk diffusivity via fast diffusion paths. |
