Zusammenfassung:This article presents results of a ground-based FTIR spectroscopy study of ClONO[sub 2] conducted at Ny-Alesund (79[degrees]N) during March 1992. These measurements were made both inside and outside the polar vortex. Column densities outside the vortex were larger than at midlatitudes. Inside the vortex, there was more variability, and even larger values were observed at times.
