Fast-ion-beam laser spectroscopy of CO[sub 2][sup +]: Laser-induced fluorescence of the [ital [tilde A]] [sup 2][Pi][sub [ital u]]--[ital [tilde X]] [sup 2][Pi][sub [ital g]] electronic transition
Laser-induced fluorescence of a fast beam is obtained for a triatomic molecular ion. We use CO[sub 2][sup +] in its (0,0,0)[ital [tilde A]] [sup 2][Pi][sub [ital u]--](0,0,0)[ital [tilde X]] [sup 2][Pi][sub [ital g]] electronic transition to show the feasibility of the experimental method. The high...

Zusammenfassung: | Laser-induced fluorescence of a fast beam is obtained for a triatomic molecular ion. The high resolution (0.008 cm[sup [minus]1]) allows us to improve the accuracy of the molecular parameters of the upper (0,0,0) [sup 2][Pi][sub [ital u]] vibronic state. Fourier-transform emission spectroscopy was used to confirm the calibration in wave numbers and the rotational analysis. |
