Zusammenfassung:The electronic structure of the new 48-electron basketlike cluster compound Os{sub 3}(CO){sub 9}({mu}-H){sub 2}({mu}{sub 3}-HC{sub 2}NEt{sub 2}) is compared to that of 46-electron closo and 48-electron nido M{sub 3}C{sub 2} complexes. The unusual coordination of the alkyne ligand is attributed to the diethylamino group linked to one of the carbon atoms of the alkyne moiety.
