Zusammenfassung:The thermal energy storage experiments are carried out for investigating the corrosion behavior of Inconel 617 (55Ni-22Cr-13Co-8Mo-1.34Al in wt.%) as the capsule material for containment of multicomponent fluoride salt mixtures. Qualitative and semiquantitative analyses are performed on the samples to identify the probable corrosion mechanism and to predict life time. The container material chosen for this particular purpose was found to be adequate.
