Zusammenfassung: | An electrochemical method for preparing the first-stage compound (LiC6) from natural graphite in nonaqueous electrolytes is reported, and lithium-graphite intercalation compounds are characterized electrochemically and structurally. The chemical potential at 30 C for the first-stage (LiC6) and second-stage (LiC12) compounds are estimated from open-circuit voltage data. The feasibility of lithium-graphite intercalation compounds for lithium ion (shuttlecock) cells is discussed. (AIAA) |
