Zusammenfassung: | An attempt has been made to determine the effects of temperature and pressure on H{sub 2}-air ignition delay in the presence of NOx, using a computer model to predict H{sub 2}-air ignition delay for various NOx concentrations, temperatures and pressures. Model results indicate that NO serves as a catalyst at concentrations lower than 1 percent, reducing ignition delay by counteracting the three-body termination reaction leading to HO{sub 2}; the effects of NO decrease as pressure is reduced and temperature is increased. |
