Zusammenfassung:	The application of radio-frequency technology to fusion research in Japan is discussed. The technology is used in the following fields: plasma heating, current drive for tokamaks, ponderomotive force production for stabilization of the MHD mode in plasmas, and isotope separation. Japanese industries involved in rf systems design and development are reviewed and specific reactor research programs are described.
