Zusammenfassung:In a search for the decay [ital K][sub [ital L]][sup 0][r arrow][ital e][sup +][ital e[minus]], no candidates have been observed. We determine the sensitivity from the detected number of [ital CP]-violating [ital K][sub [ital L]][sup 0][r arrow][pi][sup +][pi][sup [minus]] decays and place a 90% confidence level upper limit on the branching ratio of [ital B]([ital K][sub [ital L]][sup 0][r arrow][ital e][sup +][ital e[minus]],[vert bar][ital M][sub [ital K]][minus][ital M][sub [ital e][ital e]][vert bar][lt]6 MeV/[ital c][sup 2])[le]4.1[times]10[sup [minus]11]. This result is a significant improvement over previous measurements, although still above the standard model prediction of 3[times]10[sup [minus]12].
