Zusammenfassung:Bone marrow scintigraphy and magnetic resonance imaging were performed on a 17-year-old girl with osteopetrosis for the evaluation of anemia. Bone marrow scintigraphy with ln-111 chloride showed poor accumulation in the central marrow and peripheral expansion. On magnetic resonance imaging, T1 and T2 weighted images showed markedly low signal intensities from the marrow. Both bone marrow scintigraphy and magnetic resonance imaging appear to be useful in evaluating hematopoiesis in osteopetrosis.
