Zusammenfassung:Solution equilibria in the PbSO{sub 4}-H{sub 2}SO{sub 4}-H{sub 2}O and PbSO{sub 4}-Na{sub 2}SO{sub 4}-H{sub 2}O systems have been modeled using the Pitzer formalism for the determination of activity coefficients over the temperature range from 0-60C, and up to 6 m in H{sub 2}SO{sub 4}. The available literature, common ion solubility data, and the authors' own experimental data at 60C have been analyzed to determine the various ion interaction parameters needed to provide a description of the solution equilibria. The resulting array of Pitzer parameters yield an accurate description of the solubility equilibria over the temperature range 0-60C, and concentration conditions up to 6 m in H{sub 2}SO{sub 4}.
