Zusammenfassung: | Electro-optical switches composed of two Mach-Zehnder interferometer waveguides filled with 4-dimethylamino-N-methyl-4-stilbazolium tosylate (DAST) have been proposed and investigated. The characteristics of the switch waveguide are analyzed. The finite-difference time domain simulation results reveal that the structure can operate as an optical switch by controlling the voltage
