Zusammenfassung:Plasma-Focus (PF) devices, which are based on high-voltage high-current pulse discharges, belong to the non-cylindrical Z-pinches. They produce high-temperature dense magnetized plasma and radiation pulses (of X-rays, electrons, ion beams and fusion protons). The paper reports on studies of intense soft (a few keV) X-ray emission, as performed with a four-frame X-ray camera, and their correlation with time-resolved measurements of current waveforms, neutrons, soft and hard X-rays. Possible mechanisms of the production of fusion neutrons (thermal and non-thermal) were also investigated on the basis of neutron pulses measured at different angels to the electrode outlet axis, and their comparison with time-resolved measurements of the soft and hard X-ray radiation.
