Zusammenfassung:(KIMS Collaboration) KIMS is an experimental group searching for dark matter in an underground laboratory in Korea. Major effort of KIMS has been devoted for the development of low background CsI(Tl) crystal detectors with low threshold for the direct WIMP search. An underground laboratory utilizing the space in a tunnel of Yangyang Pumped Storage Power Plant is established. We present the first result obtained with one crystal detector and the future prospect of WIMP search as well as other research activities carried out by KIMS.
