Zusammenfassung: | We summarize recent progress toward developing a practical ray-tracing algorithm that includes linear mode conversion, for realistic tokamak geometry. The goal of this code development project is to create new and easy-to-use numerical ray-tracing tools for the study of RF heating and current drive. After a brief summmary of our recent results, a series of figures showing mode conversion in tokamak geometry is presented, emphasizing the effect of poloidal magnetic field. |
