Parity assignments to strong dipole excitations of {sup 92}Zr and {sup 96}Mo

Parity quantum numbers for dipole-excited states of the nuclei {sup 92}Zr and {sup 96}Mo have been determined from azimuthal asymmetries of nuclear resonance fluorescence intensities induced with the linearly polarized photon beam of the HI{gamma}S facility at Duke University. Zusammenfassung:Parity quantum numbers for dipole-excited states of the nuclei {sup 92}Zr and {sup 96}Mo have been determined from azimuthal asymmetries of nuclear resonance fluorescence intensities induced with the linearly polarized photon beam of the HI{gamma}S facility at Duke University. This parity information is crucial for an interpretation of the investigated J=1 states as two-phonon excitations originating from inhomogeneous phonon coupling.
