Zusammenfassung:Transmission electron microscopy was used to study the precipitation in four different dual-phase steels microalloyed with titanium. TiN, Ti 4C 2S 2 and TiC were characterized. Detailed statistical analysis of hundreds of images of the various Ti compounds fit rather well with thermodynamical calculations and they show TiC particles (approximately 10 nm) to be the most dominant factor in strengthening.
