An optical catalog of galaxy clusters obtained from an adaptive matched filter finder applied to SDSS DR9 data

Zusammenfassung:•A new optical catalog (AMF DR9) of galaxy clusters compiled from SDSS DR9.•It is constructed using an Adaptive Matched Filter (AMF) technique.•The catalog is cross-correlated with other catalogs in optical and X-ray wavebands.•The AMF DR9 compares favorably with respect to other optical catalogs considered.•An extended catalog with lower richness clusters is also provided. We present a new galaxy cluster catalog constructed from the Sloan Digital Sky Survey Data Release 9 (SDSS DR9) using an Adaptive Matched Filter (AMF) technique. Our catalog has 46,479 galaxy clusters with richness Λ200 > 20 in the redshift range 0.045  ≤ z
