Clean forms of energy are needed to support sustainable global economic growth while mitigating greenhouse gas emissions and impacts on air quality. To address these challenges, the U.S. President’s National Energy Policy and the U.S. Department of Energy’s (DOE’s) Strategic Plan call for expanding the development of diverse domestic energy supplies.
