Effects of Protaetia brevitarsis seulensis powder dietary inclusion level on antioxidant activities of broiler breast meat during storage

The present study aimed to evaluate the effects of Protaetia brevitarsis seulensis (PBS) powder dietary inclusion levels on the antioxidant activities of broiler breast meat during storage. A total of 270 Arbor Acres broiler chicks were randomly allocated to three treatments (3 replicates with 30 birds per pen), fed diets with inclusion of 0%, 0.5% or 1% PBS powder, in a completely randomized design. After slaughtering, samples were packed and stored at 4°C for later analysis of broiler breast meat. Antioxidant analysis included measurement of pH, thiobarbituric acid reactive substances (TBARS), and 1, 1‐diphenyl‐2‐picrylhydrazyl (DPPH) radical scavenging activity.
