Zusammenfassung:In this study, it was investigated whether deep eutectic solvents (DESs) can be produced through the eutectic reaction experiment between zinc sulfate (an inorganic compound) and three compounds including a choline chloride, histidine, and proline. As the results, it was found that the following two DESs can be manufactured: (1) the DES from the mixing of 1 mol zinc sulfate and 0.7 mol histidine (Zs-H DES) and (2) the DES from the mixing of 0.5 mol zinc sulfate and 1 mol proline (Zs-P DES). Also, in the further analysis, it was evaluated whether the pulping of paper mulberry bast fibers can be made using these two DESs. In particular, the effect of the mixing ratio of water in the two DESs on the pulping efficiency was investigated. As the results, it was found that the pulping efficiency by Zs-P DES was higher than that by Zs-H DES and that the pulping efficiency by two DESs was increased by the mixing water, It is notable that the efficiency was the highest when the mixing ratio of water was 30% for Zs-H DES and 50% for Zs-P DES.
