Zusammenfassung: | In order to improve or maintain the printing quality of inkjet paper, it is important to de- sign the paper that controls the ink container well. Until now, synthetic silica having ex- cellent ink absorption has been mainly used for the manufacture of ink-jets paper. How- ever, synthetic silica used for manufacturing inkjet paper is more expensive than calcium carbonate and clay, and the viscosity of the coating color is high, so it is not suitable for high-speed coating. Experiments using calcium carbonate and clay have been conducted so far, but there was a problem that the bleeding occurred more than using silica. For this reason, research on alternative pigments to replace synthetic silica has been in progress for a long time, and pigments suppliers are developing various engineering pigments. If syn- thetic silica is partially replaced with zeolite and applied to the mixed composition, it will be possible to reduce drying energy and increase productivity due to higher solids concentra- tion and workability than the conventional inkjet coating solutions.
