Zusammenfassung:Purpose Knowledge sharing has played an important role in knowledge management, and organizations should focus leadership in knowledge sharing and management. However, domestic and overseas studies are lacking to show the relationship between leadership and knowledge sharing. Therefore, this study aims to explore the effect of ethical leadership and perceived cost of employees on knowledge sharing. Design/Methodology/Approach In this study, a survey was conducted for employees of domestic companies. In hypothesis testing, direct and indirect effects were analyzed using SPSS process macros. In addition, confidence interval analysis was also performed to further validate mediating effects. Findings The results of this study show that ethical leadership had a positive effect on knowledge sharing. In addition, the perceived cost of knowledge sharing was found to mediate the relationship between the two variables, ethical leadership and knowledge sharing. Leader’s moral and ethical behavior have a positive effect on employee behavior and attitudes, which reduces the perceived cost of knowledge sharing. Research Implications This study demonstrates the relationship between ethical leadership, perceived cost and knowledge sharing. It has been confirmed that ethical leadership is important as an antecedent factor for perceived cost and knowledge sharing behavior of employees. The theoretical and practical implications were presented through the results of this study. KCI Citation Count: 3
