Zusammenfassung: | Purpose This study aims to analyse the introduction and problem of blockchain technology in marine insurance sector under international trade transaction.
Design/Methodology/Approach This study analyzes the introduction of blockchain technology in the marine insurance sector through domestic and foreign literature research related to the blockchain technology and marine insurance sector.
Findings It is not easy to understand the essence of this new area of technology justly, but simply speaking, blockchain is a very robust information recording technology. In particular, when applying these new technologies to contracts that stipulate intangible rights and obligations such as marine insurance, the emphasis on accurate identification of facts and emphasis on accurate understanding of the facts are not to be influenced by prejudice and ideological remarks. It is important to review fit with marine insurance Research Implications Even when the data insurance system of marine insurance policy is in full operation, it is important that the rights and obligations of the insurer and the insured are regulated so that there is no disparity between the actual conditions as express terms. In particular, in marine cargo insurance contracts that assume that the insured person changes during the contract period, the use of these rules is a means to supplement the limitations of the response by the blockchain system. In this regard, more in-depth reviews should be conducted through ongoing verification. KCI Citation Count: 3 |
