Immune Network Receives First Impact Factor of 2.524

Immune Network, the open-access, peer-reviewed journal of the Korean Association of Immunologists (KAI), has received its first impact factor of 2.524. KAI is pleased to announce this news as the journal was recently selected for Science Citation Index Expanded (SCIE) in September 2017. SCIE is a preeminent citation index that covers the world's top tier international and regional journals. The impact factor is a measure reflecting the yearly average number of citations (2017 in this case) to recent articles (2015 and 2016) published in that journal. Immune Network (International Organization for Standardization [ISO] abbreviation: Immune Netw) has been the official journal of the KAI since 2001. Immune Network publishes full-length articles, brief communications, reviews, and technique reports that report novel findings in basic and clinical immunology. Immune Network aims to provide a medium through which researchers in various fields of immunology can share and connect. The journal focuses on advances and insights into the regulation of the immune system and the immunological mechanisms of various diseases. Research that provides integrated insights into translational immunology is given preference for publication. Immune Network is an online journal that is open to all readers free of charge. The full text and PDF files of Immune Network articles are also available on the PubMed Central (PMC) site. The assessment over 2.5 is an important development for Immune Network as it will help increase the journal's visibility, attract higher quality submissions and improve its impact.
