Zusammenfassung:Surface roughness of printing papers are typically measured by PPS. This method measures the height difference of paper surface. It gives results of partial measurement. Nevertheless the printing quality depends on the amount of remaining ink or toner on paper surface. Therefore, surface roughness of printing paper is necessary to measure on the wide area and it requires detailed analysis for the printed quality. The roughness of the printing papers is very important to understand in the surface characteristics in fine, mid and large scale variation because certain intervals are important for the print results evaluation, such as dot missing and printed mottle. In this study, surface roughness of digital printing papers was measured by the optical measuring device. Surface roughness of the digital paper was measured in the area of 25 cm by 25 cm, determined by height distribution of ${\pm}5.0{\mu}m$, ${\pm}3.0{\mu}m$, ${\pm}1.5{\mu}m$ for the surface roughness of the digital printing papers. As a result, when the surface of the digital printing paper is smooth, we confirmed good reproducibility of ink and toner. In addition, we were able to measure the roughness of the printed surface to ensure the transition state of the ink and toner. Thus, we obtained the basic datum for the digital printing quality through the detailed surface analysis for the digital printing papers.
