Zusammenfassung: | Reconstructive surgery of the nasal septum is the one of the most frequently operated surgery at evert ENT clinic. Although the septal surgery was done to improve the nasal obstruction due to the septal deviation, the clinical significance of the septal deviation is unclear. To examine the concept of the septal surgery, the main diagnoses, indications and accompanying operations were evaluated with the patients who underwent the septal surgery. The 188 operations, which were done from June 1991 to December 1993, were reviewed retrospectively.
The main causes of the septal surgery was nasal obstruction, however, the opinions why obstruction occurred varied according to the operators. Over the half cases turbinate surgery or ethmoidectomy were combined. KCI Citation Count: 0 |
