증식성 모낭 종양 -2증례 보고

Proliferating trichilemmal tumor is relatively rare, and occurs predominantly over the scalp of elderly women in the form of a single nodular lesion. The authors examined two cases of proliferating trichilemmal tumor over the scalp with exophytic lesions exhibiting surface nodularities. Histologically, the tumor masses were made up of massive proliferation of the outer root sheath epithelium showing multiple central areas of characteristic trichilemmal keratinization. Tumor cells also showed moderate cellular atypia, occasional dyskeratosis, mitotic figures, and stromal invasions those could be histologically mistaken for well differentiated squamous cell carcinoma. We report two cases of proliferating trichilemmal tumor removed by surgical excision in view of its rarity especially in male and of pathological interest concerning the biologic behavior of this tumor along with a literature review.
