Zusammenfassung:The two Koreas today are at a historical crossroad of reconciling their economic-political systems. The economic-political layout of South Korea is derived from capitalism and democracy, organized around the institutions of private property and the production of goods for profit, and on the idea that the individual is the center of society. North Korea’s layout is derived from socialism whereby the agents of production are, to varying degrees, owned by the state and operated not with a view toward profit, but for the service of the population as a whole. The reconciliation between the two Koreas can be facilitated by inter-Korean economic cooperation and technological collaboration. Economic benefits and technological cooperation would make such reconciliation possible and lasting. Republic of Korea (ROK) should do all in its power to insure that Democratic People’s Repubic of Korea (DPRK) takes the path toward mutual prosperity and promote inter-Korean economic coop-eration. Inter-Korean trade, investment and technological engagement lead to economic gains, mutual trust, and peaceful coexistence. This paper analyzes the two Koreas’ industrial cooperation with their technological collaboration. KCI Citation Count: 0
