Zusammenfassung: | In the present work, a self-consistent ab-initio calculation using the full- potential linearized augmented plane wave (FP-LAPW) method within the framework of the spin-polarized density functional theory (DFT) was used to study the structural, electronic, magnetic and elastic properties of the half Heusler alloys CrNiZ (Z = Al, Si, Ge and As) in three phases (
α
,
β
and γ phases). The generalized gradient approximation (GGA) described by Perdew-Burke-Ernzerhof (PBE) was used. The results obtained for the spin-polarized band structure and the density of states show a halfmetallic behavior for the four compounds. The elastic constants (
C
ij
) show that our compounds are ductile, stiff and anisotropic. |
