Zusammenfassung:Chemical studies on the constituents of the leaves of Murraya paniculata (Lynn) Jack have furnished three highly-oxygenated flavonoids; gardenin E (1), gardenin A (2), and gardenin C (3). Structures of the compounds were elucidated based on NMR, MS, UV, IR data and also by comparison with the previous works. The antimicrobial activities of these compounds and the crude extracts were also evaluated.
