Zusammenfassung:Alginate derivative was prepared to be coated on titanium surface for improving osseointegration. It was modified by reaction of alginate and 3-aminopropylphosphonic acid. The phosphonate group of P-alginate was identified by 31 P NMR. There was a specific peak derived from phosphonate group at about 24 ppm form external standard. X-Ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS) and water contact angle measurement were carried out for characterization of titanium surface treated with P-alginate. To confirm toxicity, cytotoxicity test was performed. Cell-adhesion test was demonstrated to improve cell adhesion on titanium surface.
