Zusammenfassung:The effects of the pH conditions on the precipitation of silica in the black liquor of the rice husk alkine digestion were evaluated in this study. KOH and NaOH were applied for the rice husk alkaline digestion, and the black liquors originated from each alkaline digestion were characterized. Four pH conditions (pH 10, 9, 8, and 7) were applied for the precipitation of silica from the black liquor. The black liquor from the KOH digestion showed higher solid contents than that of the NaOH digestion, which resulted in the higher amount of the precipitated solid obtained from the KOH black liquor. The yield of silica was higher at the lower pH condition such as pH 8. However, the non-silica materials were also precipitated from the black liquor and the higher amount of non-silica materials were precipitated at the lower pH condition. KCI Citation Count: 0
