Zusammenfassung:The fiber compositions of cigarette papers were considered to evaluate the effects of flax and wood fibers of cigarette papers on the pyrolytic chemicals of cigarettes. In the two different circumferential cigarette systems, the replacement of flax paper by wood paper was carried out to simulate the effects of flax and wood fibers. The pyrolytic chemicals of cigarettes such as tar, nicotine, and carbon monoxide (CO) were analyzed by combusting process. The replacement of papers from flax to wood fibers showed similar levels of tar and nicotine, but showed an increased delivery of CO. The pyrolytic amounts of CO were different, depending on the properties of flax and wood paper, and porous structure of paper. KCI Citation Count: 0
