Zusammenfassung: | To efficient use of Amur cork tree (Phellodendron amurense Rupr.), wood anatomy was investigated. Vessel arrangement of amur cork tree was ring-porous structure, but small vessel in latewood was diffuse-porous structure. Big vessels of 2 or more in radial pore multiple were present in earlywood pore zone. The length of vessel elements was longer in earlywood than latewoo, but there was no difference in diameter of vessel elements.
The length of wood fiber was longer in latewood than earlywood, which opposite trend compared with vessel length. There was no difference in the lengths of vessels elements from juvenile and mature wood. Earylwood was composed with wood fiber (52%) and vessel elements (37%) as main component with ray cell (11%) as minor component, but latewood main component was wood fiber( 85%) with vessel element (6%) and ray cell(9%) as minor component. Due to higher wood fiber and lower vessel element in Amur cork tree, it is useful for papermaking raw material. KCI Citation Count: 0 |
