| Zusammenfassung: | Advanced age is known to be a risk factor for early mortality after heart transplantation and is considered to be a relative contraindication. However, recent studies have shown that there are no significant differences in early and midterm survival rates between older and younger recipients. With rising life expectancy and improvements in medical support, the demand for heart transplantation in elderly patients continues to grow.
