Zusammenfassung: | Screening effects on absorption powers for systems of electrons interacting with longitudinal optical phonons in quasi-two-dimensional quantum well structures are examined theoretically by using a quantum-statistical operator algebra technique. We find for GaN that the absorption power for both a square well and a triangular well is keenly affected by the screening in such a way that the power increases, but the width decreases, with the electron density.
