Zusammenfassung:The correlation length of the three-dimensional three-state Potts model as a function of the external magnetic feld and the temperature is investigated numerically. Using this correlation length, we obtain the critical exponent, c = 0:406(20), by ssuming a simple scaling relation between the external feld and the correlation length near the critical point. This result conforms with the expectation that at the critical end point of the temperature - external feld parameter space, the critical properties of the three-dimensional three-state Potts model are similar to those of the three-dimensional Ising model.
