Zusammenfassung:This paper aims to show how Chinese firms’ ethical management affects their competitive advantage in Chinese firms. The results are as follows. First, CEO's leadership, business culture and ethical management system affect organizational behavior such as employees' prestige, job satisfaction and organizational commitment, which can lead to sustainable competitive advantages such as efficiency, quality, innovation and customer responsiveness. Second, both firm size and industry type are mediators between ethical management and the outcomes of organizational behavior. Third, Chinese firms in general are growing to realize the importance of ethical management as an strategic imperative in global competition. Large and public firms, in addition to service, distribution and food firms, are likely to be more ethical than medium-and-small firms, private firms, and manufacturing and construction firms.
