Zusammenfassung: | Silicon pad sensors measuring the energy deposit of particles in calorimeter showers have been
designed and fabricated for the silicon-tungsten calorimeter to be used in the upgraded Pioneering
High Energy Nuclear Interaction Experiment heavy ion experiment. The pad sensor is an array
of 4×4 pixels in an active area of about 6 cm×6 cm with three surrounding guardrings The
details of the design and of the fabrication process and the electrical characteristics of the sensors
are discussed, including the test result obtained with a high-energy beam. KCI Citation Count: 1 |
