Zusammenfassung:Since product regulations contain important rules or codes that manufacturers must follow, automatic verification of product design with the regulations related to a product is necessary. For this, this study presents a new method for the verification of product design using regulation knowledgebase and Web services. Regulation knowledgebase consisting of product ontology and rules was built with a hybrid technique combining ontology and programming languages. Web service for design verification was developed ensuring the flexible extension of knowledgebase. By virtue of two technical features, design verification is served to various products while the change of system architecture is minimized.
